Double disc grinding wheel is the removal of material from a part with parallel surface.The metal removal takes place on both sides of the part simultaneously,with the grinding occuring on the faces of the grinding wheels. Some typical appliations include the grinding of connecting rods,engine valves,valve seats and lifters,brake pads,brake rotors,clutch plates,piston rings,universal joints,and bearings. These are applicable to a wide range of materials, such as high speed tool steel, die steel, bearing steel, carbon tool steel, spring steel, cast iron, sintered ferrous metal, etc.
